Evansville IceMen News Release
Evansville, IN: The Evansville IceMen of the All American Hockey League have added two more players to their training camp roster. John Geverd and Nathan Page are both forwards and add experience to the young Evansville IceMen squad.
John Geverd (5'11" 217 lbs) is from Horsham, PA and will beginning his second season of professional hockey, his first with the IceMen. The well traveled Geverd began the 2008-2009 season with the Richmond Renegades of the Southern Professional Hockey League, before going to the Hudson Valley Bears of the Eastern Professional Hockey league, where he had 55 points in 32 games. At the conclusion of the EPHL season, John was called up to the Double A ECHL, where he played one game with the Reading Royals and 3 games with the Dayton Bombers.
Nathan Page (6'1" 220lbs) is from Euless, TX and will beginning his first season in professional hockey. Page was the last player cut from the training camp of the Double A Central League Champion Texas Brahmas. Page has been invited back to the Brahmas camp for the 2009-2010 season, but has committed to the IceMen, as well.
"These are both great signings for us", IceMen GM Chip Rossetti said. "We have added a couple more scorers to our line up. It is going to be an exciting training camp with all of the talent that we have coming in."
The IceMen will begin their second season on the road in Madison, Wisconsin against the Ice Muskies on October 23rd and 24th, before returning for their home opener against Madision on October 30th. Great seats are still available, but are going fast. Season Ticket and Mini-Plan Packages can be purchased on the team's website, www.evansvilleicemen.com.
