
Icehawks To Celebrate The Holidays With Festive Promotions

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks will celebrate the holidays this month with a slate of exciting promotions. Among the events are the third annual Teddy Bear Toss, which will collect bears and raise funds to support the Salvation Army. The team will also give away Red Wings tickets, host a Michael Jackson tribute and enjoy a visit from Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay, among other promotions.
The Icehawks are also commemorating the holidays with a Letters to Santa promotion. Kids 3-12 can write a letter to Santa and receive a free ticket to the game on Sunday, December 20 against Dayton. Bring your child's letter to the McMorran Arena box office during regular business hours from now until Friday, December 18 to receive your ticket.
Friday, Dec. 11 vs. Muskegon, 7:30 p.m. - College Bowl Game Pick 'Em Contest
Fans can make their picks for upcoming college football bowl games. The person who guesses the most games correctly will win a $25 gift certificate to Buffalo Wild Wings.
Saturday, Dec. 12 vs. Fort Wayne, 7:30 p.m. - Teddy Bear Toss, Red Wings Ticket Giveaway
During the third annual Teddy Bear Toss, fans can bring a new teddy bear or buy one at the game to toss onto the ice after the first Icehawks goal. Bears and proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army. A drawing will also be held for two tickets to an upcoming Detroit Red Wings game.
Tuesday, Dec. 15 vs. Flint, 7:00 p.m. - Deuces Wild Package Available
Save big with the Deuces Wild Package. It includes two tickets and two beers or sodas for just $22. The package is available for all Tuesday and Wednesday games this season and must be purchased at the Icehawks office during normal business hours. Hot dogs will also be on sale for $1 at the arena.
Sunday, Dec. 20 vs. Dayton, 5:00 p.m. - Visit from Santa Claus, Ugly Christmas Sweater Night, Red Wings Ticket Giveaway, Post Game Christmas Sale and Autograph Session
Santa Claus will take a break from his busy schedule to stop by the Icehawks game. The Icehawks are also holding their third annual ugly Christmas sweater night. Wear the ugliest, tackiest, cheesiest Christmas sweater you can find for a chance to win a great prize. Another pair of Red Wings tickets will be given away as well.
The Pro Shop will also be holding a special promotion to help you wrap up your holiday shopping. Purchase $20 worth of Icehawks merchandise and receive one free ticket voucher to an upcoming Icehawks game. After the game, several Icehawks players will be available in the Pro Shop to sign merchandise and help you personalize your gifts! One autograph per person.
Sunday, Dec. 27 vs. Dayton, 5:00 p.m. - Michael Jackson Tribute Night
Celebrate the King of Pop with classic Michael Jackson songs and a special performance of the "Thriller" led by Icehawks Vice President/Business Manager Dave Goetze. The first 500 fans will receive an oversized trading card of Mike Kinnie.
If you would like to join in the Thriller dance, attend a practice with the Hawkettes and learn all the moves on Thursday, December 17 at 6 p.m. at the Port Huron Fitness Center located inside the Thomas Edison Inn.
Tuesday, Dec. 29 vs. Quad City, 7:00 p.m. - Red Wings Legend Night
Get an autograph from Hockey Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay after he drops the ceremonial first puck. Autographs are $5 or free with the purchase of any Icehawks merchandise in the Pro Shop. The Deuces Wild package will also be available for this game and hot dogs will again be on sale for $1.
