
Icehawks Invite Fans To Join Bowling League

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks are inviting fans to join a brand new Family Fun Night Bowling League at the Zebra Lounge and Bowl O Drome in downtown Port Huron. The league will allow fans to compete against teams of Icehawks players, coaches and staff.
The first four-week session will begin on Monday, October 26 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and take place each following Monday. For just $10 per person per week, players will get three games of bowling and shoe rental. Fans can join the league as full, four-person teams or be placed on a team.
The league will be separated into four week sessions: October 26 - November 16, November 23 - December 14, December 28 - January 18 and January 25 - February 15. You may pick one session or participate in as many as you like. There will be no bowing on Monday, December 21 for the Christmas holiday. The winners of each session will compete for the overall title on February 22, 2010.
You must register in advance at the Zebra Bar and Bowl O Drome at 522 Quay Street in Port Huron.
"The Family Fun Night is a great way for the team to get involved with our fans," Vice President/Business Manager Dave Goetze said. "With a new session starting every month, fans will have four chances to bring out the whole family and take on the Icehawks bowling team."
Port Huron will host the Flint Generals on Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. for their sole exhibition contest at McMorran Arena. Tickets are just $5. The Icehawks open the 2009-10 regular season on Saturday, October 17 at home versus the Fort Wayne Komets.
