Port Huron Icehawks News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks have a chance to close out the two-time defending Turner Cup Champion Fort Wayne Komets on home ice tonight as they host game six of their semi-final series. The Icehawks fell 7-2 in Fort Wayne in last night's game five action.

Port Huron native and projected first-round pick in the upcoming NHL draft Jack Campbell will be interviewed during tonight's first intermission.

The Icehawks hope to bounce back after suffering a 7-2 loss last night in Fort Wayne. Port Huron went up 2-0 after scoring the game's first two goals in a span of 18 seconds. Derek Patrosso scored his first goal of the playoffs with just three seconds remaining in the first period on an assist from Nick Lindberg. Mickael Bedard then scored 15 seconds into the second period, with Patrosso earning an assist.

The Komets took over from that point, scoring seven unanswered goals on rookie goaltender Raffaele D'Orso, who started his first playoff game as a professional with Larry Sterling injured.

Matt Syroczynski and Justin Chwedoruk each scored twice, and David Hukalo, Colin Chaulk and Sean O'Connor each added a goal of their own.

Port Huron's power play unit was shutout (0/5) after back-to-back games with three goals on the man advantage. Fort Wayne went 2/5 on the power play.
