Port Huron Icehawks News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks and the Muscular Dystrophy Association are teaming up to present the first annual "Spaghetti On Ice" benefit on Sunday, November 2nd at McMorran Arena at 4 p.m. All proceeds will support the Muscular Dystrophy Association's local clients.

This special event will feature Icehawks players as celebrity servers bringing spaghetti dinners to your table at ice level, on skates. The players will wear commemorative jerseys that will be auctioned off as part of the festivities. There will also be live and silent auctions, raffles, fun games for kids, and a D.J.to provide entertainment.

"The Icehawks are excited to work with MDA to support their efforts in the community and hope people will get on board to support this great cause," Community Relations Coordinator Kelly Carroll said. "Flint has held this event in conjunction with MDA for a number of years and raised a-lot of money. I can see this developing as sort of a rivalry. Port Huron has the opportunity to challenge Flint and really prove how generous and outstanding the people of the Blue Water Area are."

Get on board now with a number of sponsorship opportunities. Options include program ad sponsorship, t-shirt sponsorship and table sponsorship. Table sponsorship is just $250 and includes visible table signage, your company name on the back of the event t-shirt, company mention in all press releases and 10 complimentary tickets to the event. All of the proceeds go directly to the MDA. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, please contact MDA District Director Amy Lutz at 810-866-9004.

Funds raised will stay locally to benefit children and adults with neuromuscular diseases. Some of the services offered include flu shots, physical therapy ad clinic sessions, wheelchairs and a week-long summer camp at Camp Cavell in Lexington for patients between the ages of 6 and 21.

Tickets for this unique dinner are just $10 and will be on sale in early September. For more information please contact Kelly Carroll at 810-966-3800.
