Saturday, the ICEDOGS wrap up their four game swing back in Bismarck. The Blackhawks are on the road this week with two games in Kent, WA and two in Eugene, OR.

Spotlight On #17 Luke Bennett
Q: Tell us a little about your playing background. A: I started playing at age six after we moved to Alaska. My neighbor played hockey and we played using in line skates in the summer. When the hockey season came, they took us to a University of Alaska- Anchorage game and fell in love. My neighbors helped me play Mites for the Alaska All Stars and advance through that program until coming to Bozeman.
Q: What is your favorite playing career memory so far? A: When I was a second year peewee, Anchorage held the National Championship Tournament, in which two teams from Anchorage competed. It was fun playing in front of a hometown crowd and to know you were a part of a National Tournament, which we took third place in.
Q: How do you prepare for a game? A: I wake up on game days to a good breakfast cooked by my billets. Bryant Molle and I eat and then head to morning skate. After the skate I take him to school and then drive around town for a bit to kill some time. Around 2:00 pm I head to a local sandwich shop for a pre- game meal, then back home to relax until leaving for the rink. At the rink, I check my sticks, put on my sweats, stretch and then relax. I try not to think about the game until it is time to get dressed, it just helps me relax and not get nervous about anything.
Q: What are your plans after you are done playing Juniors? A: I want to go to college just like everyone else. I am thinking about playing again next season here and seeing what opportunities come about. If I don't get a chance to play then I will just head to college. I think I want to do something with Graphic Design as a major.
Q: What do you like best about Bozeman? A: After being on the road and seeing so many different rinks, I think the best part is our facility. It is top notch, with a great set up for a junior team. I also like the town, small and laid back, but they love their hockey. I live with Bryant Molle, so that is nice because we know each other well. He is a bit messy at times, however.
