IceDiggers' season finale Sunday vs. Traverse City

Alpena IceDiggers News Release


Alpena MI - The Alpena IceDiggers will play their final game on Sunday at Northern Lights Arena at 3:00pm. The IceDiggers are encouraging Alpena hockey fans to join them as they close out the 05-06 season on a winning note.

The IceDiggers traveled to Traverse on Friday night to open the three game series versus their cross state rival coming away with 5-4 shootout win.

In Saturday the roles were reversed as the North Stars skated to a 3-2 shootout win.

Sundays contest will be the rubber match on the weekend.

All fans are welcome to join the IceDiggers at the Fletcher Street Brewery following the game for the inaugural fan appreciation banquet. Season ticket holders, housing families and fame day volunteers will be admitted for free, fans can purchase tickets at the door for $10.00 per person. The IceDiggers organization will be serving pizza from JJ's steak and pizza and beverages.
