Alpena IceDiggers News Release

Alpena MI: The Alpena IceDiggers hit the road for the weekend when they travel to Traverse City to take on the North Stars in a two game set. This marks the first time the IceDiggers will play back to back road games in the same building since the first weekend of the season in Blaine MN.

Over the course of the next 18 games Alpena will only play 4 at Northern Lights Arena and coach Kenny Miller is putting a positive spin on the games away from home. "This gives us a chance to see where we stack up, we have been really good at home and in order to win in this division we need to win on the road."

Alpena is coming off a 4-2 win at home against rival Marquette, while Traverse hosted the Mahoning Valley Phantoms for 3 straight games where they came away with two wins and one loss picking up 4 points to pull within 1 point of the first place IceDiggers.
