IceDiggers announce training camp roster

Alpena IceDiggers News Release


Alpena MI: The Alpena IceDiggers finished their week long tryout camp today and have announced that 26 players have been selected to participate in training camp that starts Monday August 21, 2006.

The level of play was very high during camp and it made for some tough decisions for the coaching staff. "This was probably the most competitive camp we have had in a few years and we are very happy with the guys we have coming in." Said Coach Kenny Miller

This year's team will have mix of veterans and young players that will help the IceDiggers compete in the North division.

The IceDiggers first official practice will take place on Monday August 21st at 2:30PM and is open to the public.

The Alpena IceDiggers open the regular season home schedule on Friday September 22nd versus the Marquette Rangers. Face off is set for 7:00PM. For more information on IceDiggers hockey be sure to check our website at www.icediggers.com or call the office at (989) 356-9812.
