Ice Player named USHL Defensive Player of Week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- Ice defenseman Eric Olimb has been named the USHL Defensive Player of the Week.
Olimb is coming off his best game as a USHL defenseman as the second-year blueliner scored two goals and dished out two assists in last Friday's 5-3 win over the Des Moines Buccaneers.
The four-point performance by Olimb tied an Ice record for most points scored in a game by a defenseman which was previously set by Eddie Del Grosso on 10/22/05 and 1/21/06. It was Olimb's first multi-goal game of his career and third multi-point game while suited in an Ice uniform.
The Ice return to action Friday night with an 8 p.m. game against the Green Bay Gamblers from the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI. The two teams then bus south for Saturday night's annual "Pack the House" night at 7 p.m. from Conseco Fieldhouse.
