Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice will conclude their longest road trip of the season tonight when they cross into Ohio to face off against the Youngstown Phantoms from the Covelli Centre at 7:15 pm.
With seven games in fifteen days the Ice is 3-3-0 on their voyage away from home with wins coming against Lincoln, Cedar Rapids, and the West Division leading Omaha Lancers. Leading Indy on the road trip has been Kevin Goumas, Nick Bailen and Max Cook with five points apiece. In net, Cab Morris and Casey DeSmith have combined for the three victories.
Tonight's match-up with the Phantoms is the second meeting between the two teams as the Ice rolled to a 6-2 win in Youngstown's home opener in early October. Antti Roppo and Shane Berschback led the charge combining for four goals in the victory.
After tonight's road scare with the Phantoms, the Ice finally return home for games this Friday (12/11) and Saturday (12/12) against the Lincoln Stars from Pepsi Coliseum. The puck drops for both games at 7:05 p.m.
