Ice Head to "Fall Classic" this Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice heads west to Sioux City, IA for three preseason games this weekend as part of the 2011 USHL Fall Classic at the Tyson Sports Center and IBP Ice Center.
The "Fall Classic" is an annual USHL preseason tournament showcasing all 16 USHL teams who play for three days in front of over 200 collegiate and professional scouts.
On the docket this weekend are the Des Moines Buccaneers, Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux Falls Stampede. Indy begins the weekend stretch on Thursday with a 3 pm face-off with Des Moines before an 11 am battle with Waterloo on Friday. The Ice close out the tournament on Saturday morning against Sioux Falls at 11 am.
The Ice is 2-1-0 in the preseason after dropping a 4-2 decision against the Muskegon Lumberjacks this past Friday. Robert Polesello and Daniil Tarasov were both credited with goals last weekend.
The regular season begins on Saturday, October 1st when the team travels to Cedar Rapids, IA for an 8:05 pm faceoff with the RoughRiders. The Ice battle Team USA in the home opener on Saturday, October 15th at 7:05 pm from Pepsi Coliseum.
Tickets for the home opener start as low as $10 and there is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at ticketmaster.com or by visiting select Wal-Mart and Simon Mall locations and the Pepsi Coliseum or Conseco Fieldhouse box offices.
