Ice Goaltender Wins USHL Goaltender Of Week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Cab Morris has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week for his stellar two-game effort against division rivals Cedar Rapids and Chicago.
In last Wednesday's game against Cedar Rapids, Morris turned aside 31 of 33 shots in regulation and overtime and four shootout attempts by the RoughRiders to preserve a 3-2 win for the Ice. On Saturday, the first-year netminder gobbled up all 26 shots fired his way in a 4-0 blanking of the Chicago Steel. Overall numbers for the week included a 2-0-0 record, 0.96 GAA and a.966 SV%.
Morris becomes the second Ice player to win a USHL weekly award this season as defenseman Nick Bailen was the recipient of the USHL Defensive Player of the Week back in late October.
Indiana is looking for more solid play from Morris and the rest of his Ice teammates as they embark on their longest road trip of the season (7 games) starting this Wednesday (11/25) against the Lincoln Stars. The puck drops at 8:05 from The Ice Box.
After the two long weeks away from home, Indy's next two home games are Friday (12/11) and Saturday (12/12) against Lincoln from Pepsi Coliseum. Face-off is 7:05 p.m. both nights.
