INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Scott Darling captured the USHL's Goaltender of the Week award for the third time this season. He joins Lincoln goaltender David Reekie as the only two netminders to win the award on three occasions this season.

Darling took part in a goaltending duel this past weekend with Chicago's Rob Madore and came out on the winning end in back to back 2-1 victories. He turned aside 33 of 34 shots in Friday's home win over the Steel and Saturday's encore included 34 saves in regulation and seven of eight in the shootout in the victory from Bensenville, IL. Overall numbers for the weekend included a 2-0-0 record, 0.96 GAA and a .971 SV%.

The 6-5 goaltender has been riding a torrid stretch of late as he has posted a 5-1-1 record, 1.92 GAA and a .942 SV% in his last seven starts in net. Darling has committed to the University of Maine for the fall of 2008 and was a 2007 NHL Draft Pick of the Phoenix Coyotes.

He and the rest of his teammates prep this week for a weekend home and home series with the Green Bay Gamblers. The team travels to Green Bay for Friday night's contest, before returning to the Pepsi Coliseum on Saturday for a 7:05 p.m. face-off.
