January 14, 2014 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Jason Pawloski has been named USHL Goaltender of the Week.

An impressive weekend performance in net against Team USA on Friday and the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday propelled Pawloski to top honors for the second time this season. The Minnesota State-Mankato commit was previously recognized by the USHL for his performance in late October.

Pawloski stopped 24 of 25 shots to help Indiana to a 5-1 victory over Team USA at Pan Am Pavilion on Friday night. Saturday night's matchup against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse saw the Omaha, NE native stop 14 of 15 bullets on the way to a 4-1 Ice victory. The Indiana netminder stopped 38 of 40 shots faced over the weekend to notch a 1.00 GAA and .950 save percentage.

The successful weekend showing has pushed Pawloski to a record of 17-4-4 and a 2.48 GAA, fourth among goaltenders with 20 games or more. His record of 17 wins is second best in the USHL and his four losses are the second-fewest among goaltenders who have appeared in at least 20 games.

Pawloski and the Ice kick off a five-game road trip this Friday with a weekend double-header against the Fargo Force. The team returns to Pan Am Pavilion on Thursday, January 30 to host Team USA. Fans with a valid college ID at the contest will be eligible for $5 admission and special $1 beer prices.

Group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
