Battalion Troops Strike Early and Late to Seal Game
North Adams Mass- In only their second home game of the season the Berkshire Battalion put on a show for the North Adams faithful. A flurry of offense in the first would be chipped away by the Dashers, only to be won back by some late game heroics.
In the first period Vadim "the Goose" Guskov put home the opening score, helped by Tristan Lysko and Matt Hamilton only 2 minutes in. 5 minutes later New Jersey native Michael Dolman put home the 2nd of the period at 7:19 helped out by Darin Lane and Kevin Morrison. Danville would strike back just over a minute later off the stick of Brad Denny.
The offense for Danville would continue into the 2nd as Denny put home his 2nd of the game on the man advantage. The Dashers would tie it up in the 3rd as AJ Tesoriero scored.
The back and forth game was capped off when Berkshire's Lester Brown knifed to the front of the net and gave the Battalion the go ahead score.
Net Minder Daniel Palmkvist was stellar in the win, turning away 40 of the 43 shots he faced. Matt Anthony made 46 saves of the 50 he faced.
Berkshire's next home game is Friday October 31st against the Danbury Whalers.

Championship Rematch
(Dayton, Ohio) The Dayton Demonz took to the ice starting their third game tonight in a championship rematch against their rival Danbury Whalers. Danbury looked to take their revenge on the Demonz as last year they came up just shy of a championship, losing to the Demonz in the finals 3 games to 2.
Excitement was elevated this evening at Hara Arena in front of the crowd of over 2000 people came out to celebrate with the Demonz the presentation of their championship banner and the players receiving the rings in the pregame ceremony.
Tonight was special for the Demonz and they were hoping to take home a win to finish off an already electric evening. Danbury did not forget last season's outcome and rained on the Demonz parade with a 4-2 victory.
The first period started with multiple hard hits from both teams looking to gain an early edge and shake up their opposing rivals. The Whalers were able to strike first with an early goal from Ilya Solarev. Passing seemed to be the Demonz downfall in the first period turning over the puck many times in their zone. The Demonz frustrations increased as they spent most of the period on defense, and were upset with some of the official's calls. Danbury's Steve Brown would take advantage and add another goal to their lead, ending the first period with a score of 2-0 in favor of the Whalers.
The Demonz would look to bounce back from a rough start to a heated rivalry and turn things around in the second period. A scuffle early in the period seemed to ignite the team and would look to take advantage of a power play, but to no avail. Dayton picked up their game and was able to generate more scoring chances than they were throughout the first period. However, the Demonz were unable to find the back of the Whalers net.
Ryan Devine of the Whalers put a stop to the Demonz momentum with yet another goal mid-way through the period increasing the lead to 3-0. Not willing to give in just yet, Dayton's August Aiken responded with a quick goal of his own. Excited by the goal, the home team was hoping to remind their rivals who the champions were on the ice tonight. Not looking to give up another goal, the Whalers pressured the Demonz in their own zone; however the stellar goaltending by Demonz Matt Kinsella kept the Demonz in the game.
The Demonz had the tough task of killing a power play at the start of the third period, because of two late penalties in the second; they were able to kill off the 5 on 3 man advantage. The Demonz were a quarter of an inch away from making it a 3-2 game with a shot that bounced off the crossbar on a power play. With yet another power play, and only 11 minutes left in the game, the Demonz desperately needed a goal. If the Demonz wanted to get back into this game, now was their time. Feeling the urgency, they cycled the puck and scored with just seconds left in the power play off the stick of Ahmed Mahfouz.
The Whalers began to lose composure as the Demonz cut the lead to 1 goal. The game was slowly turning around for the home team but they were running out of time. The Demonz pulled their goalie in the final minute of the game, hoping to score and send the game into overtime. The Whalers were able to capitalize with an empty net goal, giving the Demonz their first regulation loss of the season.

Wolves Still Unbeaten
Head Coach Brent Clarke & The Watertown Wolves improve to a 4-0 record with a 7-5 victory over the Steel City Warriors.
Scoring for the Wolves were Justin MacDonald with a goal and an assist, Dane Erickson with goal and assist, Justin Alonzo with a goal and three assist, Chad Bennett with two goals and an assist, Dylan O'Neil with a goal, JR Harris with a goal and assist and Aaron Atwell with three assist.
Scoring for the Warriors were Tom Tracy with two goals and assist, MJ Graham with a goal and two assist. Robert Morton scored a goal, Zach Tatrn netted a goal and Ryan Dolence with a pair of assist on the evening.
Warrior goaltender Bryan Kalczynski saved 49 of 56 shots, while starting goaltender MacIntyre Reamey from the Wolves had 8 saves on 12 shots while being replaced by backup goaltender Jo St. Pierre saved 18 out of 19 shots allowing only one in his relief effort.
