Albany Legends News Release
Former Indiana Hoosier and member of the 2010 IBL Champion, Albany Legends, Deandre Thomas has agreed to terms for the 2011 season and will arrive in Albany in time for the home opener at Christian Brothers Academy on Friday, April 15 at 7 pm against the Kankakee (Illinois) Soldiers.
The 6'8", 295 lbs F/C played in 22 games for the Legends in 2010 and averaged 16.4 ppg and 8.8 rebounds. A big factor in the legendary championship win on July 16 vs. the Bellingham Slam, Thomas dominated the boards while scoring a strong double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds in 24 minutes of play.
"Deandre brings size, strength, dominance and athleticism to any ball team. To the Legends he brings all those things as well as leadership and heart. He is truly a Legend and we are thrilled that he will be wearing #44 for us again this year." The Legend fan favorite arrives in Albany on Tuesday.
