Huntington Heroes News Release
Huntington, WV. - The American Indoor Football League Northern Conference defensive player for week ten is Huntington's Jamus Martin. Martin had seven sacks, five tackles, four QB pressures, blocked a field goal attempt and recovered a fumble in the Heroes 50 - 29 win at Syracuse, New York.
The victory along with an Erie loss has put the Heroes back into contention for the AIFL Northern Conference title. Huntington's first year team is now 6 "" 2 and tied with Reading for second place. Huntington already has a split with first place Erie (7-2) and can capture the conference championship by winning out the season.
The Heroes return to action Saturday against the 5 - 4 Canton Legends. This will be the first meeting between these two teams. Game time at the Veterans Memorial Field House is 7PM with tailgate lots opening at 4PM. The Heroes start a 3 week road trip on Saturday May 13th and will not return to the field house until the first weekend of June.
Tickets are on sell now by calling 304 781 6800 and will be on sell in the field house box office after 2PM on Saturday. The box office is located on the corner of 26th Street and 5th Avenue.
