Hunter Strickland Scheduled to Make Rehab Appearance in San Jose

The San Francisco Giants have announced that RHP Hunter Strickland will rehab with the San Jose Giants on Monday, August 6. Strickland is rehabbing from a broken finger sustained back in June and will be eligible to return to the majors on August 19.

Hunter Strickland, a homegrown Giant, pitched with San Jose during the 2013 season. The righthander fashioned an 0.86 ERA, allowing only two runs in 21 innings of work. Strickland would make his major league debut the following year in San Francisco. In five seasons with the San Francisco Giants, Strickland owns a 14-12 record with a 2.67 ERA.

The San Jose Giants host the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) for a three-game series starting tonight, August 6. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 408.297.1435, visiting the Municipal Stadium Box Office or by going online to sjgiants.com.
