Houston Dynamo Face Montreal Impact on Friday Night at BBVA Compass Stadium

HOUSTON (Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo host the Montreal Impact tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium in a match presented by Houston Methodist Hospital System. Tickets are available at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling 713-276-GOAL, or at the stadium ticket office (2200 Texas St., Houston) from 9 a.m. through kickoff on Friday. Tomorrow's game is the only Friday home game of the regular season.

Friday's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston (7 p.m. pregame) and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).

Tomorrow's match is the team's Breast Cancer Awareness Night, highlighted by its fourth-annual Bobby Boots Breast Cancer initiative, led by Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell. A special ticket package, benefitting the Houston Methodist Cancer Center, is available for Friday's game. The $25 ticket package includes: One tickets to Friday's game, a pink Dynamo t-shirt and a donation to the Houston Methodist Cancer Center. Tomorrow is the first of three consecutive home games for the Dynamo against Eastern Conference rivals. The three games are the final home games of the regular season and are against clubs currently above Houston in the East standings.

The Dynamo (12-10-8; 44 points) are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference after a 1-1 draw at New England on Saturday that extended the club's unbeaten run to three games in MLS play. Houston is two points behind the Impact (13-9-7; 46 points) and can climb to third place in the East with a win. The Dynamo are four points behind Sporting Kansas City (14-10-6; 48 points), who will meet the Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Tomorrow is the third meeting this season between Houston and Montreal. The Impact hosted each of the first two games, and won both, a 2-0 win on June 19 and a 5-0 victory on Aug. 24.

Montreal is led by Italian forward Marco Di Vaio, who leads Major League Soccer with 19 goals this season. Di Vaio has 8 goals in his last 7 games, including two against the Dynamo on Aug. 24.

The Impact also features Canadian international midfielder Patrice Bernier (4 goals and club-high 8 assists) and midfielders Justin Mapp (56 assists in 271 career MLS games), Davy Arnaud (48 goals and 42 assists in 293 career MLS games) and Felipe Martins (5 goals and 7 assists).

Following tomorrow's game, the Dynamo Reserves will face the Montreal Impact Reserves on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Houston Sports Park. The Dynamo remain at home on Wednesday to face Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium in a match presented by Degree for Men.
