Houston Dash Announce 2025 Preseason Roster

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash announced their initial preseason roster for the 2025 campaign. The Dash will begin their preseason later today under the direction of head coach Fabrice Gautrat at Houston Sports Park.

The team will open camp with 28 players under contract and four players will join the team as non-roster invitees for preseason. The team will share additional updates about its preseason roster over the next six weeks.

The team features six new additions and a veteran core that signed contract extensions towards the end of the 2024 campaign. Among the new additions is U.S. Women's National Team forward Yazmeen Ryan plus Delanie Sheehan, who won the NWSL championship with NJ/NY Gotham FC in 2023. Danielle Colaprico joined the organization as a free agent earlier this month and the team also signed midfielder Maggie Graham from Duke University. Defensively, the team added two-time NWSL champion Abby Smith and Christen Westphal, who helped San Diego Wave FC earn their first NWSL trophies.

The team will travel to California next month to compete in the Coachella Valley Invitational as part of preseason camp. The Dash will open the tournament against San Diego Wave FC on Feb. 16. The team will also face Portland Thorns FC on Saturday, Feb. 22 prior to returning to Texas. Houston will open the 2025 season at Shell Energy Stadium on Friday, March 14 against the Washington Spirit. Tickets for that match are available now at HoustonDash.com.
