Houston Aeros Offseason Update

HOUSTON, Texas - Even though the Houston Aeros are in their off-season there is still tons action going on in the Calder Cup Playoffs. The West Division representative, Chicago Wolves, have taken a 2-0 lead over the Toronto Marlies in the Western Conference Finals. Portland's Sunday afternoon victory put the Pirates up 2-1 in their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Aeros equipment sale is also coming up this Saturday!

Before he could leave town for the summer, Head Coach Kevin Constantine sat down with Jason Shaver for the most recent Aeros Audio, available at AEROS.com. Coach Constantine shared his thoughts on the 2007-08 season, free agency and ideas for next season.

Chicago took their 2-0 series lead after shutting out the Marlies 5-0 on Sunday. The next Western Conference Finals' game is scheduled for Tuesday in Toronto at 6:30 p.m. CDT. Portland came back from a 1-0 first period deficit to defeat the Penguins in their Sunday contest 5-2 for a 2-1 series lead. Game four is slated for Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. CDT in Portland. Both games can be seen live on the B2 Networks as they race towards the Calder Cup Finals.

Don't forget the Aeros equipment sale is this Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at SLICE, the Aeros practice facility located in Sugar Land. Items will go fast so arrive early!
