HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros announced Wednesday that they will play the San Antonio Rampage in a pre-season game on Friday, October 3 at 8 p.m. at the Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center. A second pre-season contest against San Antonio will be announced on a later date. This series against the Rampage marks the seventh consecutive pre-season series the teams have played. During the 2007 pre-season the Aeros defeated the Rampage in both contests.

"This I-10 rivalry is one of the best in the American Hockey League and is not only great for our players but also for Aeros fans to get warmed up for the regular season," said Troy G. Ward, Aeros Assistant General Manager/Assistant Coach. "This is the perfect opportunity to get back into the pace of the game and to play against an opponent, rather than ourselves."
