The North Shore Honu improved to a Hawaii Winter Baseball-leading 21-10 record with a 14-7 win over the West Oahu CaneFires this afternoon in the finale of a three-game set at Hans L'Orange Park. Lou Santangelo picked up a game-high five RBIs and nailed a three-run home run to lead North Shore's offensive attack which amassed 16 hits on the afternoon.

Brad Corley chipped in three hits including two doubles, and drove in a run for the HWB West Division champion Honu squad. Teammate Mat Gamel went 3-4 with a double and drove in a run as the Milwaukee Brewers prospect boosted his batting average to .340.

Brett Sinkbeil (3-1, 1.67 ERA) notched the victory despite allowing four runs on five hits through three innings. The Florida Marlins prospect threw 34 of his 63 pitches for strikes.

Joshua Bell led the West Oahu (10-20-1) offensive charge, going 2-4 with a double and a solo home run to deep right-center field. Russell Mitchell doubled and drove in a pair, while Chad Tracy added a solo home run in the losing effort.

Erik Stiller fell to 1-3 on the campaign and saw his ERA balloon to 5.46 after allowing seven runs on eight hits through the game's first four innings. In defeat, West Oahu reliever Ken Miyamoto surrendered one hit through two scoreless innings, and lowered his league-leading ERA to 0.36.

North Shore will meet the Waikiki BeachBoys tomorrow at noon while West Oahu tangles with the Honolulu Sharks at 6:30 p.m. Both games will be held at Hans L'Orange Park.
