Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release

MOOSIC, PA - In honor of the men and women who serve our communities each day, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees are offering all military, police, fire and emergency services personnel a complimentary reserved seat for the Yankees opening round playoff game against the Gwinnett Braves at PNC Field on Friday, September 11, beginning at 7:05 PM.

The festivities at PNC won't be limited to just baseball as the Yankees and the Braves meet for game three of the Governors' Cup Semi-Finals. Following the game, fans are invited to stick around for the best fireworks show in Northeast Pennsylvania, presented by Old Forge Pizza Express and Tobacco Free Pennsylvania.

"This is a way for not only the Yankees, but the entire community to recognize and pay tribute to the men and women who help keep us and our neighbors safe each day," said SWB Yankees President Kristen Rose. "All of our communities are affected each day by what these individuals and groups do. For at least one night we all say thank you."

The complimentary "Honoring Our Heroes" ticket can be picked up at the SWB Yankees ticket office with valid ID. Tickets for family members will also be available at the ticket office for the special price of $10. The SWB Yankees ticket office will open on Friday at 10 AM.
