
Holcomb guides Bills to second successive victory

FOR the second time in successive weeks as his team's new starting quarterback KELLY HOLCOMB (Barcelona Dragons 1996) led the Buffalo Bills to a key victory over a divisional rival.
A week after leading the Bills to victory over the Miami Dolphins, Holcomb threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns as Buffalo recorded a 27-17 win over the New York Jets to improve to 3-3 on the season.
Holcomb, who has thrown for 368 yards and three scores in his past two starts, said: "We have guys who can make plays and I try to get them all involved."
Kicker JOSE CORTEZ (Amsterdam Admirals 2000) was the game-winner in another key divisional clash in Week 6 as his 45-yard field goal gave the Dallas Cowboys a 16-13 overtime win against their NFC East rivals, the New York Giants.
Cortez connected on two other field goals from 28 and 29 yards and added 1 conversion for a 10-point haul.

Quarterback JAKE DELHOMME (Amsterdam 1998/Frankfurt 1999) threw for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns before leaving the game with a head injury during the Carolina Panthers 21-20 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Running back AARON STECKER (Scottish Claymores 2000) rushed for 86 yards on 16 attempts as his New Orleans Saints fell to a 34-31 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons. Defensive end WILLIE WHITEHEAD (Frankfurt Galaxy 1999) added 3 tackles for the Saints.
Linebacker RICH SCANLON (Berlin Thunder 2005) recorded 4 tackles as the Kansas City Chiefs ran out 28-21 winners over the Washington Redskins. British-born kicker LAWRENCE TYNES (Scottish Claymores 2002) converted 2 of 2 field goals and 3 PATs for a total of 8 points.
Safety DEKE COOPER (Rhein Fire 2001-2002) notched 7 tackles as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by a 23-17 scoreline in overtime.
Cornerback KELLY HERNDON (Barcelona Dragons 2000) recorded 6 tackles as the Seattle Seahawks recorded a 42-10 win over the Houston Texans.
