WNBA Indiana Fever

Hoffman's Most Unique Double

September 19, 2008 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
Indiana Fever News Release

The Indiana Fever's Ebony Hoffman posted four of her five career double-doubles during the 2008 season. Her most unique double, though, is one for the WNBA record books.

- Hoffman is just the fifth player in WNBA history, and the first in four seasons, to finish among the league's top five players in rebounds per game and 3-point shooting percentage, during the same season.

- She is just the second player in the past eight seasons to rank among the top five in both unique categories.

- She averaged more rebounds per game than any player ever ranked among the WNBA's top five in 3-point percentage.

- Hoffman was just TWO rebounds shy of finishing fourth, and therefore becoming the ONLY player in WNBA history to finish among the top FOUR in both unique categories. [Chicago's Candice Dupree (267 in 34 games) finished fourth with 7.853 rebounds per game. Hoffman (258 in 33 games), with two more rebounds, would have averaged 7.878.]

Ebony Hoffman, Indiana, 2008 - 2nd in 3FG% (.456) | 5th in RPG (7.8)

Elena Baranova, New York, 2004 - 2nd in 3FG% (.461) | 5th in RPG (7.3)

Tina Thompson, Houston, 2000 - 2nd in 3FG% (.417) | 5th in RPG (7.7)

Taj McWilliams-Franklin, Orlando, 1999 - 3rd in 3FG% (.444) | 5th in RPG (7.5)

Elena Baranova, Utah, 1997 - 5th in 3FG% (.377) | 4th in RPG (7.4)
