Harrisburg Stampede News Release
HARRISBURG, PA - Harrisburg Stampede's Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that Offensive Center Stand-Out Adam Hoffman has signed for the 2012 Season.
Every team needs to have a quality center to anchor the Offensive line. The Stampede has certainly filled that spot with Adam Hoffman. Adam played his high school in Frederick, Maryland at Gov. Thomas Johnson high school. His college football was played at Shepard. Adam brings to the Stampede an ample amount of Professional Indoor experience as well. Two seasons were spent in AF2 with the Manchester Wolves and a third season with the Reading Express of the AIFA. In a reunion of sorts by signing with the Stampede, Hoffman finds himself back with Coach Ken Miller and Head Coach Nowotarski. During those Indoor seasons Adam was invited to several private NFL work-outs with the likes of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Houston Texans.
Adam has spent the last few years with two Minor League Football organizations. He has been the active President of the Maryland Outlaws Minor League Football Team and played for them as well. He has also spent three seasons with the Chambersburg Cardinals. In this past season Adam was named to both Minor Leagues All-American squads. The Outlaws play in a spring league, and Chambersburg plays in a summer league. Considering the number of games and the amount of practice time Hoffman put in for 2011, it was only fitting to be an All-American in both leagues. Hoffman's 6'5" and 380lbs adds to an already monster size Stampede Offensive line.
Adam is married to wife Heidi for 13 years. They live in Frederick with their children Destini (13), Savannah (8) and Bryce (6). Adams personality, family values and never give-up playing attitude will quickly make him a favorite in Harrisburg. He hopes to see all his Outlaw and Cardinal fans that have followed him the last few years at the Stampede games. Adam as the Outlaw President and Stampede GM Justin Coble has formed a working relationship between the Stampede and the Outlaws to allow players from both organizations a chance to continue their playing careers with both teams.
