Heroes Players of the Week

Huntington Heroes News Release


The Huntington Heroes had four players nominated for player of the week in the categories of offensive player, defensive player and offensive lineman after their 62 - 13 debut game win in the American Indoor Football League against the Miami Silverbacks.

James Branch and Charles Tynes received co-defensive honors in the AIFL. Branch ended the game with five tackles and two interceptions. Tynes brought in 10.5 tackles for the Heroes.

Nominated offensive player of the week, Fred Ray registered 190 yards passing, 6 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Luke Salmons was nominated as offensive lineman.

The Huntington Heroes will be on the road Friday facing off against the 2-0 Johnstown Riverhawks. They will be back in action at the Veterans Memorial Field House March 25 hosting the Erie Freeze.
