
Heroes play special Friday game

Huntington Heroes News Release
The Huntington Heroes take to the Veterans Memorial Field House turf for a Friday night war against the Soldiers of Syracuse New York. The Heroes are ready to rebound after their first loss of the 2006 AIFL season. A close game all the way against the league leading Erie Freeze, Huntington, 2-1 fell just short of being undefeated.
Syracuse enters the 7PM Friday game with a record of 0-4. The Soldiers are lead by head coach and former Syracuse University standout, Kirby Dar Dar. The Soldiers lost last week to the Canton Legends, 68-39.
HEROES SIGN RECIEVER
The Heroes have signed former Marshall Receiver Brad Bates. Bates is on the 23 man roster but will not play in this Fridays contest. The 5' 10"/ 185 lb Bates will be ready for the April 7 game in Erie.
MARSHALL HEAD FOOTBALL COACH
Marshall University head football coach Mark Snyder will be on hand to participate in the pre-game coin toss and take in the Heroes Football action.
WATCH THE GAME LIKE THE PLAYERS DO
A new SIDE LINE PASS in now available for Heroes home games. This $35 pass allows you on the sideline at field level. These are limited and can be bought at the field house box office on game day or at the Heroes office on non game days.
Tickets are available at The Veterans Memorial Field House box office located on the corner of 26th Street and 5th Avenue. The box office will open at 2PM Friday. The tailgate lot is available for $5 and will open at 4PM.
