Heroes Announce Four Signings For 2008

December 10, 2007 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) - Huntington Heroes News Release

The Huntington Heroes announced Monday that their roster is starting to fill up with the signing of four offensive forces.

Leading the Heroes under center this season will be Haven Mosley. Mosley is a 6'2", 217 pound graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College. He put up impressive numbers in his rookie season last year with the Evansville BlueCats before an injury ended his season early. "I am very excited to have Haven, he is an athlete at quarterback, very smart, and understands the game", Offensive Coordinator Kenny Johnson commented.

Protecting Mosley this season on the offensive line is an exciting trio of players. Junior Loussaint is a 6'1" 290 pound Center/Guard from Troy University. He has spent the last two season with the Lakeland Thunderbolts, including last season championship team. Coach Johnson continues, "Junior is force not only on the field, but also off of the field, he will bring much more than football to this community."

Returning to the Heroes again in 2008 is Marshall University graduate and Huntington favorite Chris Barnes. Barnes had an outstanding 2007 season, giving up just two sacks all year.

Another new addition to the 2008 Heroes offensive line is rookie Center/Guard David Wade from the University of Alabama. "David is a rookie that we can't wait to see on the field, he has great size and moves really well. Another solid offensive lineman in the trenches", Coach Johnson said when Wade signed."

Head Coach Teddy Keaton was thrilled with these initial signings, "These are very big signings for not only our offense, but for our football team. These guys are grinders, they are football savvy, and they know what it takes to win."
