
Henriquez hits first career homerun in Astros win

GREENEVILLE, TN - The Greeneville Astros were led by C Ralphie Henriquez to a 6-3 win over the Appy League leading Elizabethton Twins for the second time in three days. Henriquez hit his first career HR in the 2nd inning over the right field wall to even the score at 2-2 and later added a run scoring single and double. RF Eli Iorg also had a good night getting 2 doubles and 2 RBI. The winning pitcher for the Astros was Cesar Mayora (W, 1-3), who earned his first win of the season after pitching 2.1 innings and getting 2 strikeouts. P Sammy Gervacio came on in the 9th inning to get his 8th save of the season by striking out all 3 batters he faced.
The Astros will play the Bluefield Orioles on Monday August, 22 2005 for the first time at Pioneer Park this season. Due to a missed game at Bluefield earlier this month, there will be a doubleheader. The gates will open at 5:00pm and the first game starts at 6:00pm. Like every home game on Monday, it will be "It's Fun to be a Fan" Night with NASCAR as the theme. Fans are encouraged to wear their NASCAR attire.
The Astros office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm. It is located in the new administrative building adjacent to the front gate entrance.
