Vancouver Whitecaps News Release

Vancouver Whitecaps FC has launched a full-time Residency Program as part of the Whitecaps FC Youth Development Model. The purpose of the Residency Program is to provide a pathway to professional success for young elite athletes from across North America. The Residency Program runs from September to June. During this time, participants live with a host family, attend school at Burnaby Central High School, and train daily with the Whitecaps men's team and other elite groups.

As a host family living in the Burnaby area, you provide your player with a room, three meals a day, and a welcoming atmosphere. You are not responsible for the player's transportation. Host families receive $750/month remuneration, plus Whitecaps Season Tickets. Plus, by opening up your home to these young athletes, you will be playing a major role in the development of professional-level soccer in Canada and North America.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is pleased to partner with the Langara College Homestay Program to ensure a quality billeting experience for both the host families and the players.

To learn more about hosting a Whitecaps Residency player from September to June, please contact Angela Whitfield at 604-669-WAVE (9283), ext 2280 or email awhitfield@whitecapsfc.com.
