Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush announced today that head coach Malcolm Cameron has tendered his resignation with the Florida Everblades.

"I want to thank Malcolm for his contribution over the past two seasons and wish him well in his future endeavors," said Brush.

Cameron, 40, coached Florida from 2008-10. In his first season with the Everblades (2008-09), his club claimed the Brabham Cup, best regular-season record, with a mark of 49-17-5. He finished with a record of 87-42-14 in two seasons in Florida and led the Everblades to the Kelly Cup playoffs in both years. In both seasons, Cameron's Everblades were eliminated in the American Conference semifinals.

Malcolm Cameron said that after some soul-searching he came to this realization, "After being a head coach over the past seven years, I felt it was the right time to pursue other opportunities."
