Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

Waterloo, Iowa-Last fall, the history of the Waterloo Black Hawks became available in one volume with the release of Black Hawks Chronicle; Five Decades of Teams, Games, and Players. The team's story can now also be downloaded as an eBook from two major online retailers.

Beginning this week, the electronic version of Black Hawks Chronicle is being offered through barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com for $9.49 on each site. Both companies sell proprietary eBook reading devices. However, all electronic titles available through each retailer can also be accessed with free software and applications on computers, Apple products, and Google Android devices.

"I am excited to be making this announcement and hope this will allow a new audience to enjoy some of the great stories from Hawks history in new ways," said Black Hawks Chronicle author Tim Harwood.

Black Hawks Chronicle recounts the highs and lows of hockey in Waterloo season-by-season beginning with the founding of the franchise in 1962. Brief biographical sketches of star players and accounts of big games highlight the text.

Physical paperback copies of the book are also still available from Party Town Outfitters - the team's official souvenir store at Young Arena - and partytownoutfitters.com, the Grout Museum store and The Plaid Peacock in Waterloo, and University Book and Supply in Cedar Falls.
