Bismarck Bobcats News Release
It seems that Bismarck Bobcats' Myles Harvey saves his hardest shots for big games. Friday night's slapshot to propel the Bobcats to a 3-2 overtime win against the Owatonna Express must have been big enough. The Bobcats lead the Central Division Finals series 2-1 with game four Saturday night in Shattuck's St. Mary's Ice Arena. Bismarck is one win away from earning their first bid the Robertson Cup Tournament in the franchise's history.
The defenseman Harvey fired a rocket from the high-slot after Nicolas Jensen won the faceoff in the left circle 2:40 into overtime. The shot beat Owatonna goalie Fredrick Bergman low glove-side. The 6 foot 5 inch, Harvey recently committed to NCAA Div. I - Providence College.
The Bobcats got off to a solid start scoring two goals in the first period, however the Express responded with two back-to-back goals to tie things up before the first intermission.
After four goals in the first period, both teams settled down into a defensive battle. Nonetheless, both teams had their chances in regulation to score, but the goalies were outstanding in their respected nets.
Bobcats' goalie David Bosner (4-0) is still undefeated in the playoffs after making 21 saves on 23 shots. Bergman (4-3) made 31 saves in the loss.
