TODAY'S GAME: The Harrisburg Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) play the first game of their seven-game series this week. The Squirrels won the first series four games to two June 9-14 in Richmond. The Sens won the next series three games to two June 30-July 5 on the Island.
LAST GAME: The Senators blanked the Baysox 1-0 Sunday, tossing their ninth shutout of the season. Elijah Green's first Sens homer, coming to lead off the sixth, powered the win. Sam Brown's one-out double in the eighth was Harrisburg's only other baserunner in the game. RHP Jack Cebert started the shutout with four scoreless innings. He retired the first seven hitters he faced, overall allowing only one hit, two walks and striking out six. RHP Robert Cranz (W, 3-0) retired the side in order in the fifth and struck out two. RHP Isaac Lyon (S, 1) closed the win with four shutout innings. He stranded runners on second and third to end the eighth. In the ninth, with two bloop singles, Chesapeake had runners on first and one out. Lyon fielded a suicide squeeze bunt in front of the mound, flipping home to nab the runner. He joins LHP Alex Clemmey and RHP Josh Randall as other Sens starters to earn a save this year.
