
Harlem Strong Dogs' Willie Shaw joins Harlem Globetrotters

HARLEM, New York City, USA (February 19, 2004) - The Harlem Strong Dogs congratulates Willie Shaw who has signed with the Harlem Globetrotters.
Willie leaves the Strong Dogs as the team's leading scorer. He was a member of the (American Basketball Association) ABA East All-Star team and scored 23 points in the game played in Las Vegas last Monday.
Shaw has achieved basketball success throughout his playing career. He helped his John F. Kennedy Knights to the New York City Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Class A Boys Varsity basketball championship, as well as winning a National Invitation Tournament (NIT) title for the Saint John's Redstorm in college.
Professionally, Willie was a valuable contributor to the Brooklyn Kings of the United States Basketball League's (USBL) Eastern Division Championship during his rookie season.
"I can only wish him goood luck," said Harlem Strong Dogs Head Coach and General Manager Kenny Charles proudly. "He has worked hard and deserves it."
