Happy Father's Day from Our Family to Yours

PHILADELPHIA (June 17, 2015) - Football players and coaches are used to having to spend holidays traveling or playing games. This year, the Soul will be traveling back from Los Angeles after the first time matching up against the Kiss. For some, it will be another Sunday of plane rides and meals on-the-go, but for others, they will be missing their families a little more than usual.
"It's always tough and sometimes FaceTime doesn't cut it," said kicker Tommy Frevert. "Especially my daughter who is only nine months old, you don't want to miss out on those 'first' moments like learning to walk. Some things my parents instilled in me like following your dreams and hard work, I hope to instill in her."
There are a lot of lessons learned in football that aren't related to the sport that the fathers hope to pass onto their children. Determination and hard work are among the two most mentioned. Being an example on and off the field is always an important role to fulfill.
"My family is used to me being away around this time of year from when I was a player to now a coach," said assistant coach Derek Stingley. "It's important to be an example to my daughters of what a man should treat you like, and on the other hand be an example for my sons on the right way to treat a woman."
