Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release

Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC is scheduled to take on in-state rival the Charlotte Eagles on Saturday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Queens Sports Complex. This match will be the second meeting between the teams this USL PRO regular season.

The Hammerheads recorded their first and only current loss this season against the Eagles in April after suffering a 2-0 defeat at Legion Stadium. The Hammerheads are looking for their fourth consecutive victory this weekend to increase their current record of 4-1-2 holding them in the fifth position of the league rankings.

The Eagles last league match ended in a 2-0 defeat on the road versus the Richmond Kickers. The Hammerheads hosted the Pittsburgh Riverhounds last weekend at Legion Stadium, emerging with a 5-1 victory to sweep their home and away series.

Hammerheads goalkeeper Quillan Roberts will be eligible for play this weekend after being suspended from last weekend's match versus the Riverhounds. Roberts was dismissed from the match against the Charleston Battery on May 17 at Legion Stadium for receiving a red card.

This weekend's match can be viewed live on the Charlotte Eagles' YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/charlotteeaglessc.

Fans in Wilmington are encouraged to join the Hammerheads organization for a live Watch Party on Saturday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Old Eastwood Road to cheer on the team as they play at Queens Sports Complex. Drink specials and raffles will be available.
