Hammerheads Host First Round Playoff Game

Wilmington, NC- After defeating the Dayton Dutch Lions 2-1 on Saturday night, the Hammerheads have secured their second place position in the American Division and have earned a first round home playoff game. The Hammerheads will play host to the Richmond Kickers on Friday, August 19 at 7:30pm at Legion Stadium.
The Hammerheads last appearance at their home field of Legion Stadium was against the Kickers just a week ago when the Kickers triumphed over the Hammerheads 2-0. Friday's match up will be a true test to the Hammerheads who have yet to beat the Kickers this season.
Should the Hammerheads defeat the Kickers, they will advance to the American Division Final of the USL PRO playoffs. Date and location of the match are still to be determined based on the first round results. The winner of the American Division final will take on the winner of the National Division Final in the USLPRO Finals.
Gates and the ticket booth will open at 6:00pm on Friday. Tickets at the gate will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65+, and $8 for children ages 4-12. Fans can receive $2 off tickets if purchased at the Hammerhead office or by phone at 910-777-2111 before Wednesday. August 17. Tickets are also available for online purchase at www.wilmingtontickets.com . No coupons, discounts, or special offers will be accepted at the ticket booth.
