Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release

Wilmington, NC - The United Soccer Leagues announced the ten individuals that will be inducted into the USL Hall of Fame on December 14, 2012 on behalf of their impeccable efforts and success over the years in North American soccer. Among the USL Hall of Fame inductees is Wilmington Hammerheads' majority owner Bill Rudisill.

Having years of ownership with the club under his belt, Rudisill is entering the Hammerheads' 2013 USL PRO regular season as owner for a combined 13 years. The club has achieved much success under the partnership of Rudisill and 15 years Hammerheads Head Coach David Irving, whom was inducted into the USL Hall of Fame in 2011.

After the Hammerheads went on hiatus for the 2010 season due to prior ownership, Rudisill committed to bringing the club back to the Wilmington community and its loyal fans in 2011. The return of the Hammerheads not only conveyed excitement from fans, but also from long relationships and bonds built with others in USL PRO from years past.
