Atlanta Vision News Release

The ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies will be watching very closely this week annual NBA Draft in an effort to fill it's center position if 7"4 John Flippen signs an NBA contract.

There are some ballplayers who attended the Chicago Draft camp who might or might not get drafted or even invited to an NBA camp. The Gwizzlies are interested in 7"2 Ales Chan, 7"1 John Edwards, 6"11 Jared Reiner and 6"11 Tom Timmerrars. Free agents Eric Chenowith 7"1,Chris Lang 7"0 and 7"0 Eric Deyoung a University of Georgia graduate will be invited also for a two day workout July 7-8 if Flippen signs.

The ABA League officials have plans to hold it's own ABA Draft pool in 2005 and Gwizzlies officials will be part of the organizing process.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
