Gwizzlies Lose in Close Fight
January 14, 2012 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Georgia Gwizzlies News Release
Gwizzlies were off to a rocky start Friday night against #13 Athens Razors but momentum was sparked by ABA MVP candidate 6'2 Ramar Smith blocking a dunk attempt of a 7 footer as well as Adam Yeoman's game changing plays of steals and blocks. However this was not enough to pull off a win after such a shakey start to the game. Ramar Smith had 27 points for the Gwizzlies and Frank Bennet had 28 with Adam Yeoman adding in 9 points 12 rebs in the Gwizzlies 105-92 loss to Athens. Gwizzlies expect to end with a better outcome by pulling out a win in their rematch on Friday, January 20th.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
