Gwizzlies Knocked Down, But Not Out Of Playoff Mission
The American Basketball Association Georgia Gwizzlies were soundly and fairly defeated Sunday by the Atlanta Vision at the Gwinnett Center by a wide margin. "Jamario Moon and a few other NBA prospects on that Rome Gladiators coached by Harold Ellis of the Atlanta Hawks, defeat one of my teams by 84 points in an exhibition game in the spring of 2005" says Gwizzlies GM Embry Malone." "We commend the Atlanta teams effort, their leadership and management is solid and good, but we are here until the "Fat Lady Sing on March 15,when the ABA playoffs starts "says Malone. The Gwizzlies will meet the Vision one more time at their home venue and close the season out with a three game series against First State Fusion and one game against the Bahamas team. The March 15 South Region playoff game will decide who goes on to the ABA Super 8 in Quebec,Canada.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
