June 11 starts a weekend of activities for the new ABA expansion team,the Gwinnett Gwizzlies. Friday,June 11,12:00 at Suwanee Sports Academy,Suwanee,Georgia the franchise shall introduce their new Head Basketball Coach,assistant Coaches,the general manager a Morehouse college grad,and remaining front office personel.
On Saturday June 12, 8:30 registration begins for the tryout camp that will continue on to Sunday June 12. The Gwizzlies team advisor is former Boston Celtic great Dennis Johnson. Gwizzlies officials decided to kick-off the 2004-05 basketball season at the 96 Olympic Cauldron,which was originally scheluded as an event for the June 11 weekend.
