Quest For Fifth Taylor Cup Begins Mid-April

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Gulls' first round playoff dates are set, the West Coast Hockey League club announced today.

The Gulls have already clinched home-ice advantage in the first round of the Taylor Cup Playoffs and will either play the Bakersfield Condors or Fresno Falcons. Here's San Diego's opening round schedule:

Game One: Friday, April 12 (in San Diego)
Game Two: Saturday, April 13 (in San Diego)
Game Three: Wednesday, April 17 (at Bakersfield or Fresno)
Game Four: Friday, April 19 (at Bakersfield or Fresno) *if necessary
Game Five: Sunday, April 21 (in San Diego) *if necessary

Playoff dates for subsequent rounds will be announced at a later date.

San Diego now embarks on a four-game road trip, which starts Friday in Bakersfield at 7 p.m. The Gulls then play next Saturday and Sunday in Tacoma before ending the trip April 3 in Long Beach. Five out of San Diego' s final seven games are on the road. All games can be heard live on 1130AM-KSDO and at www.ksdo.com with Chris Ello calling the play-by-play.
