
Grys Helps Paints Down Champion City 5-3

Nate Grys went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Chillicothe Paints (14-15) to a 5-3 victory over the Champion City Kings (11-19) on Wednesday at VA Memorial Stadium.
He doubled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings and singled in the eighth inning.
Perley Provost had an impressive outing against the Champion City Kings' lineup. Provost gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his three innings of work.
Lee Sponseller led the Champion City Kings' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first innings and tripled in the eighth inning.
Kevin Zullo improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed two runs over five innings. Zullo struck out five, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Dalton Greenwalt ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
