
Groenestege named Player of the Week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Doug Groenestege of the Richmond Renegades, has been named the Sher-wood Hockey "Player of the Week" for the past week.
Groenestege, a Stratford, Ontario native, went 2-1 for the week with a 1.33 goals against average and a 96.7 save percentage. He currently leads the SPHL with a 2.88 GAA and a 92.8 save percentage.
This is the third straight week that a Renegade has won the award and the second time in three weeks for Groenestege.
