Opening Night presented by Huntington Bank
Time : 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open early at 5:30 p.m.).
Banner-Raising Ceremony : Be a part of history as the team celebrates its 2013 Calder Cup victory by raising its championship banner prior to the game.
Tickets Going Fast : As of noon on Oct. 10, fewer than 500 tickets remained for the home opener.
Video Board Debut : Witness the first event to utilize Van Andel Arena's brand new south-end video board. This high-definition board is 698 square feet (approximately 15.5' x 45'), with 405 square feet utilized for live game video (approximately 15.5' x 26'). The old, standard-definition board, which was installed in 1999, was 164 square feet (approximately 15.5' x 10.5').
LED Necklace Giveaway : The first 5,000 fans will receive a commemorative LED glow necklace, courtesy of Huntington Bank.
$2 Dollar Beers and $2 Hot Dogs : Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs and $2 domestic drafts from 5:30-8 p.m., while supplies last.
Calder Cup Jersey Auction : After the game, fans can bid on 30 home jerseys that were worn during both the Calder Cup Finals and the 2012-13 regular season.
Free Ride Friday on the Rapid : Ride the Rapid to and from any Friday game and enjoy complimentary fare by showing your ticket to the game. Visit ridetherapid.org for schedule information, routes and maps.
H&R Block College Night : College students can show their ID to purchase an upper bowl ticket for $13 (or $11 in advance at The Zone) and stop by the McFadden's concourse table to receive a free pass to the post-game party at McFadden's.

Post-Game Open Skate : Bring your skates to the rink and take to the ice for the post-game open skate.
Military Night: Every home game this season, current members of our military can purchase up to four upper bowl tickets for $13 each (or $11 in advance at The Zone) with a valid military ID. The offer also extends to veterans who present a VA ID or discharge papers.

Advance ticket prices are $14, $16 and $18 in the arena's upper level, and $18, $22, $26 and $32 in the lower level. (Additional $2 per ticket on day of game.) On game night, tickets may be purchased without a convenience charge at the Van Andel Arena box office, beginning 90 minutes before game time. Fans who attend multiple games can avoid charges and receive a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 10- or 20-game partial season package.
